About the event -

Space is an extreme environment where the electronics that support life on Earth often fail. To build long-term astronaut habitats and become a truly space-faring species, we need technologies and materials that can survive these harsh conditions. In this talk, Dr. Srinivasan will reveal the surprising role of magnets—yes, the same kind stuck to your fridge—in powering spacecraft, supporting life-support systems, and enabling journeys to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
